WSVN — You'll want to get up and sing hallelujah for the gospel brunch at the new Miami restaurant City Hal.

The host of this feel-good brunch is Miami's diva singer Maryel Epps. She belts out three gospel sets at 12:30 – 1:00 and 2:30.
Maryel Epps: "I get to sing songs that kinda lift me up when I'm sad or low. Gospel is good news music. It kinda takes me to a place of yeah."
Belkys Nerey: "There is nothing more we like than good news."
Toni Murray: "You need this recharging on Sunday to get through the work week, and what a better way to do that with a little gospel and a little mimosa."
While you're busy clapping along don't forget to eat you can order lunch or something tasty off City Hall's brunch menu.
Steve Haas: "We have grand marnier french toast with marscapone cheese. We have pastrami scallion and cheddar omelet. We have three eggs with cheesy polenta and short ribs."
Linda Frankel: "I ordered the salmon. And I started with the gumbo, which was delicious."
Belkys Nerey: "She took my very first bite."

Belkys Nerey: "You forgive me?"
Linda Frankel: "I do."
Belkys Nerey: "So you overslept and you missed brunch, how does an old fashioned backyard BBQ sound?"

Every Sunday evening from 6 to 9 at Essensia Restaurant at the Palms Hotel on Miami Beach you can chow down on a buffet of barbecue made with a mix of South Florida and Asian flavors.
Frank Jeannetti: "The array is everything from mojo pulled pork, to a grilled angus beef hamburgers to locally made bratwurst, chorizo-stuffed sausage."

This BBQ comes with all the fixings like sweet and sour kimchi cabbage slaw. Three potato salad freshly baked cornbread, and of course watermelon.
Frank Jeannetti: "Come hungry because there is a lot of food for sure."
Vania Giordano: "You can use your fork and knife so there is not a lot of the messiness involved but still all of the flavor."
There are $5 beer and $6 summer sangria drink specials to help wash down all that food.
