REDLANDS, Ca. (WSVN) — A homeless veteran broke down in tears after a California man surprised him with a random act of kindness.
In a YouTube video posted last week, a Good Samaritan, whose name is Max, took a homeless man to a fast food restaurant and then offers to buy him lunch every day before he goes to work.
"I just want to do something and then maybe one day when you get on your feet you can just pay it forward," Max tells the homeless veteran.
The homeless man begins to cry and hugs the Good Samaritan, "No one has shown me this much kindness in a while," he said.
"It’s just a small thing… you served this country and you deserve better," Max told the veteran.
According to FOX26, the homeless man has now landed a job at a restaurant! A GoFundMe page was also created to raise money to buy sleeping bags, blankets and food for homeless veterans who sleep on the street. So far nearly $15,000 was raised!
