FITZGERALD, Ga. (WSVN) — A Georgia man who recently won the state’s lottery jackpot was found dead overnight, Thursday.
According to WALB, 20-year-old Craigory Burch Jr., a resident of Fitzgerald, died from gunshot wounds after a home invasion robbery. His girlfriend was inside the home at the time and ran for help.
Burch won nearly half a million dollars in a Fantasy 5 jackpot back in November. The forklift operator used some of his winnings to buy Christmas presents for people in need, his friends told WALB.
Police have not made any arrests yet.
