WEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) — Florida Power and Light teamed up with Florida International University for the sake of solar energy.
FIU and FPL announced their partnership to work together on new solar panels in a ceremony Wednesday and in a video shown on the university’s Facebook page.
This gives students the opportunity to study the effects of a solar grid, which will be installed on FIU’s Miami campus.
The panels will be 12 feet high, creating a shaded parking lot that can hold more than 400 cars.
