FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) — The City of Fort Lauderdale will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on his holiday with a parade and unity march.

School bands will be marching down the city’s streets on Monday starting at Northwest Fifth Avenue and Sistrunk Boulevard to Andrews Avenue, then south to Huizenga Park in Downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Drivers can expect detours around Downtown from Northwest Seventh Avenue to Northeast Third Avenue.
