HAVANA (WSVN) — Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro made a rare appearance when he stepped outside his home to visit school children.
Castro held a conversation, Thursday, with students at a school named after his sister-in-law, Vilma Espin.
Espin was a Cuban revolutionary who later married Fidel’s brother, current leader Raul Castro.
Fidel’s appearance comes about a week after publicly criticizing President Obama’s visit to Havana.
