Martin Amado: “Hi, guys. Well, fall is just around the corner. On today’s Room for Improvement, I am going to show you how to take that summer style and give a new look for the new season.”

Martin Amado: “Love these sky blue curtain panels, but the color doesn’t work for fall, so I’m going to switch these out for this beautiful rust.”

Martin Amado (removing pillows): “We’ll bring these colors again next year.”

Martin Amado: “The white area rug brightens up the entire living room, especially with the dark furniture, but for fall I want something a bit cozier.”

Martin Amado: “The new area rug still has a light background, but the zebra print really helps freshen up the space.”

Martin Amado: All right, so I went from a white ceramic base for the lamp to this wood one, which makes the space richer.”

Martin Amado: “Another way to give your home a new look without spending any money is to recycle furniture from other areas. I’ll show you what I mean.”

Martin Amado: “This used to be the original coffee table in the center, but I have something else in mind. Fall is about using outdoor elements. I found these wicker tables in the owner’s master bedroom.”

Martin Amado: “All right, so we went from green, yellow and turquoise pillows for summer to a more rustic pillow palate for fall.”

Martin Amado: “And the final touch: these sunflowers that reflect the fall season. Notice the ones that were here before give the room a completely different look. These are just flowers, but choosing the right one plays an important element in your home’s decor.”

Martin Amado: “It’s amazing how we can take the same space and by only changing out the color scheme of the accessories, and a few accent pieces, the living room now has a completely a fall style and can take us through the holiday season as well. I’m Martin Amado, 7News.”
