WSVN — There is no age limit when it comes to playing games with friends, and these apps make it easier to play no matter where you are. 7’s Craig Stevens has today’s Appsolute Must-have downloads.
Spice up your next dinner party with Heads Up, a game you can play with one or many friends.
Here’s how it works. You choose a category, and the app will draw a card describing what you are. Then your friends have to act out what the card says so you can guess. “Act it Out,” “Just for Kids” and “Superstars” are some of many free decks available.
The more you guess correctly, the better chance your team has of winning. At the end of each game, you can see the video of your play. Share your best videos with friends.
Not everything online is child proof, but the YouTube Kids app is. The app features, videos and music of all types, and parents, you don’t have to worry, they are all age appropriate for kids. Your kids will be able to watch educational shows, cartoons, even explore fitness videos. You can restrict the type of shows they watch and even when they can watch them.
And now you can become an animated cartoon. Myidol is a Chinese app that is taking the U.S. by storm. The app is all in chinese, but still easy enough to use. It turns you into an animated cartoon.
Just take a selfie, pick your gender, select your outfit and press on one of the animations available. You can make yourself dance, sing or ride a motorcycle. Upload to social media so you leave everyone app-lauding.
Heads Up for Android is free, but it costs 99 cents for iPhone users. The rest of today’s apps are free to download.
