WSVN — You never know when an emergency situation could happen. Craig Stevens shows us how to be prepared on today’s Appsolute Must-have downloads.

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. WatchMe 911 is a personal protection system that can alert your loved ones when you might be in trouble.

Going for a run, meeting up with a stranger or getting home late? The app sets a timer, and if the countdown isn’t canceled, the app contacts local authorities and your emergency contacts with your exact location.

Sometimes it is up to us to help others. St. John Ambulance First Aid is an easy-to-use first aid advice app.

The app has a list of different emergencies you can click on from someone choking, drowning or suffering from a head injury. Just click on the emergency you need help with while first aid responders are on their way.

Do you spend time hiking the Everglades or out on the ocean fishing, out of cell range? Rest easy with Spot Connect.

You can send messages via satellite from anywhere in the world, even if you are in a remote area with no signal. You can ask for help or check in so your family knows you are safe!

Craig Stevens, 7News.

All of today’s apps are free to download, but Spot Connect requires a service plan with the satellite service.
