FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) — An elderly man in Fort Lauderdale has gone missing after reportedly being discharged from a hospital, Monday.
According to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, 82-year-old Edward Demaio went missing after being discharged by staff at Holy Cross Hospital. Police said he called for a taxi, but it is unclear if he actually got inside one.
Demaio’s family said he suffers from dementia and has chronic heart issues. Officials describe him as a white male who weighs 125 pounds, stands 5 feet 7 inches tall, with brown eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing a gray T-Shirt, shorts and black sneakers.
