Belkys Nerey: "Hey, everyone, I’m Belkys Nerey with this Online Extra!. Do you like boiled eggs? I like eating boiled eggs. They’re yummy, they’re healthy, they’re easy, they’re quick, but peeling them … oh, what a pain!  You get shell everywhere, it’s a nightmare. I’m going to show you an easy way to make peeling a boiled egg less messy. Check it out.

Belkys Nerey: "So this is the secret weapon here: a tablespoon of baking soda in the water before you boil the egg. The baking soda keeps the shell from adhering to the eggs, and when it’s time to peel it, you’re in business.

Belkys Nerey: "Step one for boiled eggs is to boil your water."

Belkys Nerey: "Before that gets going we put in the secret."

Belkys Nerey: "Drop in our eggs, and let the water do the rest."

Belkys Nerey: "Just going to cool those down."

Belkys Nerey: "So, take it out, give it a crack at the top, give it a crack at the bottom."

Belkys Nerey: "Then you get one … done. The peel is basically — you can see it’s all there. No more annoying little bits. Perfectly peeled."

Belkys Nerey: "There you go. All you have to do is add a little bit of salt, and grab a bite with Belkys. Buon appetito!"
