HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WSVN) — Police are driven to catch a pair of crooks who were caught on camera targeting tires in Hollywood.

The big rig tire thieves were caught in the act by security cameras. "And this is what we do for a living," said Gary Manning, the owner of North America Moving Company. "This is our livelihood."

Manning and his crew at the moving company, located off of U.S. 1 and Hollywood, found 10 200 pound tires stolen off of their moving trucks, Sunday night. "It put you out of business totally," Manning said, "stop you from working."

The crooks were caught scoping out the business in a white van. "He planned for this," Manning said.

Once the van was parked, the first camera picked up on the duo hopping a fence. They slowly moved around the property and focused on diverting the surveillance cameras toward the sky. They disarmed two other cameras, and at one point, they even hid behind cardboard boxes to hide their identity. "They know what they’re doing," the company owner said. "These weren’t just two guys walking off the street."

After the cameras were turned, the tires and aluminum rims were stripped from two trucks and wood blocks were used to prop the rigs. "You’re talking about over $10,000 in tires and rims," Manning said.

Piles of tire bolts and caps were left on the scene, which came off the four tires stolen off the truck.

The tires were then rolled under a fence and loaded up into a white van, but Manning hopes police can catch these men who were caught on surveillance. "I am deeply hurt because of this," he said.

If you recognize this duo or the van, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a $3,000 reward.
