WEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) — A driver was taken into custody after, investigators said, he led police on a chase in a stolen truck, Tuesday night.
According to Miami-Dade Police, they received a call about a burglary in Doral, and the driver took off from the scene, at around 7:30 p.m.
Officers chased the flatbed hauling a forklift south on the Palmetto Expressway, then west on the Dolphin. The driver finally stopped underneath the 836 overpass, near Northwest 107th Avenue, in West Miami-Dade.
Officials said, during the chase, the driver hit a Doral Police cruiser. The officer inside the vehicle was not hurt.
The suspect was questioned by police and taken into custody.
