MIAMI (WSVN) — On the day we remember John F. Kennedy, we’re seeing the lasting legacy he left in South Florida.
Dozens of bikers took part in the Best Buddies Bike Challenge in Miami on Friday.
The president’s nephew, Anthony Shriver founded Best Buddies International in 1989 to help those with intellectual disabilities. “If President Kennedy was alive today, he would be happy that we’re all out here, raising money for people with intellectual disabilities,” said Shriver, “that they’re on a bike riding a 100K, that we are finding them jobs, and we are doing all of this, and this is the kind of thing his whole administration was about.”
The ride for charity started and ended at Marlins Park.
