WESTON, Fla. (WSVN) — Cypress Bay High school students have made a major donation to UNICEF.
Over a three-year period, the students raised $74,000 for the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund.
On Thursday, the students invited UNICEF officials for a special check presentation for the amount they recently raised: $41,000.
Superintendent Robert W. Runcie of Broward County Public Schools was there for the celebration. He said, "I love these kids at Cypress Bay. They have done some amazing things here, and today is an extremely proud moment for them and the entire Broward county school system and our community."
Cypress Bay High School’s "UNICEF club" is committed to helping improve the lives of impoverished children around with world.
