WSVN — Chef Bee of Naiyara in Sunset Harbor cooks up lots of spicy food in his kitchen. He says if you get a bite that’s too hot to handle… don’t reach for the water!
Chef Bee: "When you eat spicy food, don’t drink ice water… drink a cup of milk. It’s going to tone it down."
He says water heats up the spice, but milk coats your mouth and cools the burn down.
Chef Bee: "It pretty much has a nice and creamy texture."
Having milk at hand is a simple way to ensure you enjoy your spicy meal.
