MIAMI (WSVN) — Miami-Dade officials are in talks of building new rail lines to help commuters reach Downtown Miami.

The plan, which goes by SMART (Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit), considers building six new rail lines for commuters.

Lines are set to run in northeast areas like Aventura, all the way down south to Homestead.

There is no word on when construction will begin.
