PEMBROKE PINES. Fla. (WSVN) — Police have arrested a South Florida church employee accused of an unholy act.

Pembroke Pines Police arrested 56-year-old Jules Derosier on Tuesday. He is accused of taking checks from the New Life Assembly of God church and depositing them into his personal account.

The incidents occurred between September 2012 and February 2013. Police said the checks, which totaled $2,690, were drawn from the accounts of four church members

Carlton Bennett whose daughter goes to the church’s daycare is stunned. “That’s crazy. I don’t understand … from the church. When you start to steal from the church then what next?” said Bennett.

Derosier was in charge of the men’s ministry. He has been charged with grand theft.
