WSVN — Join Chef Brad Kilgore from Alter Restaurant in Wynwood as he shows you a fun way to carve a brioche bun.

Chef Brad Kilgore, Alter Restaurant: "I’m Chef Brad Kilgore from Alter Restaurant in Wynwood, and this is an Online Extra. So here we have a common brioche roll. This is a fun way to cut if you’re going to have a dinner party or some nice guests. You can do all sorts of things."

Chef Brad Kilgore: "So I’m just going to cut the little end off there, kind of when the curve starts tapering down, both sides. You can save those and make croutons out of them later, if you like. Here’s the fun part; arts and crafts, if you will. Two cuts on either side, about one inch."

Chef Brad Kilgore: "I’m going to go in at an angle. What I’m doing is making a triangle. One cut here, going to turn the bread around, one more cut, and just lift it up. So now we have this nice cup, you can fill it with anything, you can do goat cheese with beets, you can do lobster or a chicken salad."

Chef Brad Kilgore: "It’s very easy, and it’s a great way to impress your friends."
