WEST PARK, Fla. (WSVN) — One person was transported to the hospital after driving an SUV into a building, Monday.

The crash happened at a window tinting business, located at 3625 South State Road 7, in West Park.

7Skyforce flew over the scene where the car could be seen with no license plate and a "For Sale" sign on it.

According to people who work at the business, the driver was trying to buy the vehicle for his family, and he ended up driving into the business. Surveillance video shows the car driving through the metal gate of the business.

The driver appeared to hit the gas by mistake. However, people who know him said that he said the brakes failed.

The owner off the business said that he isn’t sure how the van ended up driving into the business. "The guy who came in, he works in the car wash," said Alex Cordero, the shop owner. "He’s a really good guy, and I got really no idea. I think he misjudged the pedal and went straight to the gate and broke it. He’s a really good guy, so I got no idea how it happened. I wish that he’s OK. That’s the most important thing, that he’s OK in this. I’ll fix it, but everything’s OK. My wishes goes out to him."

The driver was later transported to the hospital. Employees that spoke to the driver’s relative said that he suffered some minor injuries but is expected to be OK.

The van experienced front-end damage and damage to the windshield.
