MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) — The Boys & Girls Club of Miami celebrated the grand opening of their new location, Thursday.
The club cut the ribbon on their brand new, $2 million facility in Miami Beach, near 12th Street and Michigan Avenue.
The state-of-the-art learning facility includes a game room, teaching kitchen, teen center, technology lab and other student-themed centers.
"The community came together to build this facility," said Boys & Girls president Alex Rodriguez. "A lot of people worked hard on it, so we’re excited to be able to open this for the kids and have a great time in here."
The Boys & Girls Club has been providing after-school care and summer camps services in Miami Beach for more than 30 years.
