LAUDERHILL, Fla. (WSVN) — Police have arrested at least two people in connection to a carjacking at a gas station in Lauderhill, Friday night.

The owner of a black 2014 Volkswagen Passat said several young men approached him at the Exxon gas station along Northwest 31st Avenue and West Sunrise Boulevard, at around 10 p.m.

The victim, who asked not to be identified or show his face on camera, said the subjects jumped him, then took off with his vehicle. "They were just punching me, and once I fell to the floor, they started stomping on me," he said. "I was trying to like, scream for help, but nobody was out there, so I ran to the gas station and they drove off with my car."

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies later spotted the vehicle, which was badly damaged, and arrested at least two juveniles.
