MIAMI (WSVN) — Animal abuse victims are now safe and sound after a raid in South Florida.

The Animal Recovery Mission moved them to sanctuaries in North Florida.

Among the animals were horses, sheep, goats and different types of birds.

They were all saved from an illegal slaughterhouse at a farm in Southwest Miami-Dade, near Eureka Drive and Krome Avenue Friday.

Two suspects, Leonardo Dumenigo and Yainiel Proenza, bonded out of jail Monday. They face charges of animal cruelty.
