General Assignment Reporter
Walter Morris joined WSVN in January 2016 from FOX 5 in San Diego.
Before landing in San Diego, Walter worked as a one-man band reporter in Winchester, Virginia. He also spent time at Good Morning America in Washington D.C. and KGO in San Francisco.
Walter received his master’s in broadcast journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. During that time, he was awarded the White House Correspondents Association Scholarship. He was even invited to the annual WHCA dinner where he met President Obama and the First Lady. He also got the chance to rub elbows with movie stars like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes!
He graduated from Loyola Marymount University and he’s quick to point out that LMU has the most beautiful campus in the country. GO LIONS! Walter studied abroad on Semester at Sea during his time in undergrad and he credits that experience for shaping the way he views the world.
Walter was born in London, but he considers Potomac, Maryland his hometown.
