The City of Hialeah Celebrates Independence Day
This is an event for the entire family with interactive activities for children at the Hialeah Healthy Families Kid Zone, refreshments, music, dancing and the main event – a spectacular fireworks show including a 20-foot , state-of-the-art video screen in sync with music, lasers and light. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 4th with a Mix 98.3 Pre-Party at the Milander Center Amphitheater, 4800 Palm Avenue, Hialeah. Cover artist Danny Acosta kicks off the celebration on the Coca-Cola/Sedanos Supermarket Stage at 6 p.m. Performers from Raw Miami will have a performance at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Latin sounds of Tres de la Habana 7 p.m.

Margate Fourth of July Parade and Activities
Join Margate for their Fourth of July parade from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. as it runs along Margate Blvd. from 76 Avenue to Margate City Center on the eastbound lanes. There will be awards for private business, non-profit and Margate family parade entries with additional prizes donated by the Margate Chamber of Commerce. Immediately following the parade join the city at the NW corner of Margate Blvd. and SR 7 for complimentary hot dogs, beverages, music and bounce houses. Additional activities include a Calypso Cove Pool Party from 1-5 p.m., live band and food trucks 5-9 p.m. ending with fireworks at 9 p.m. Call 954-972-6458 for more information.

Pompano Beach American Legion Symphonic Band Star Spangled Concert
Expect patriotic selections, concert band classics. Broadway show tunes and stirring marches mixed with exciting arrangements of jazz and swing. Tickets: $10 per person. Herb Skolnick Community Center, 800 SW 36th Ave., July 2. The concert begins at 7 p.m. For more information call: 954-786-4590.

Pompano Beach July 4th Beach Bash Extravaganza
Come join us for our annual July 4th Beach Bash Extravaganza, taking place on Friday, July 4th on Pompano Beach Boulevard. Activities range from DJ, live music and dance, arts and crafts, antique car show, food trucks, science stations, glitter and airbrush tattoos, and much more! Of course ending the night by lighting up the sky with the beautiful fireworks! Beach Bash begins at 12 and ends with fireworks off the pier at 9 p.m. For more information, please call 954-786-4111. North Lauderdale Firecracker 5K Run/Walk
Start Independence Day off right by participating in our FREE Firecracker 5k Run/Walk Thursday, July 4, 2014. The first 60 people to register will receive a FREE T-shirt. Race starts at 7 a.m. Hampton Pines Park, 7800 Hampton Blvd., North Lauderdale, FL 33068. Registration is ongoing at the Teen/Recreation Center located at 701 SW 71 Ave.

Lauderdale-By-The-Sea July 4th Parade and Fireworks
The Town’s annual Fourth of July festivities are Friday, July 4. There is a parade at 10 a.m. followed by fun afternoon activities for families in El Prado Park, 4500 El Mar Drive. The fireworks show is at 9 p.m. Visit www.lauderdalebythesea-fl.gov for more details as they become available.
