HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WSVN) — A crash involving multiple vehicles in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Hollywood left one person dead and backed up traffic on the highway for hours, Thursday evening.
A motorcyclist died in the crash, which occurred near Sheridan Street, at around 5:15 p.m. Florida Highway Patrol troopers and fire rescue were on the scene.
The motorcycle could be seen laying on its side, by the shoulder of the highway. Meanwhile, the biker’s body lay near a barrier wall covered by white sheet.
A few good Samaritans stopped on the side of the road to render aid. They later gave their statements to FHP.
The traffic in the southbound lanes was backed up all the way to Cypress Creek. All lanes have since been reopened.
