HUDSON, Fla. (AP) — Police say detectives discovered four bodies near a Florida home where they went to check on a 4-year-old boy who is considered missing along with his father.
The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office says when detectives arrived at the Tampa-area house Thursday afternoon, no was home. But they noticed a bad smell and walked down the street toward birds circling the air. That’s where they found the bodies.
Investigators are searching for the boy, Ismael Tristan Santisteban, and his father, 28-year-old Adam Matos. The boy was last seen Aug. 28 at the home in Hudson. Deputies had gone to the house that day on a domestic call involving Matos.
Officials say the missing child and those found dead have a connection, but the sheriff’s office wasn’t immediately naming the victims or their relationship to Santisteban or Matos.
