Katharine Rubino: “Our Miami girls are very fashion forward. Velvet, it’s a trend and they are wearing it. Also, velvet is coming in lighter weight fabrics. It’s not thick velvet, its lighter weight velvet.”
From models on the runway, to celebrities like Taylor Swift and Kate Hudson, it’s all about velvet.
Katharine Rubino: “We are seeing celebrities wear a lot of velvet. It’s definitely the trend for fall and we like to dress like celebrities, so everyone is looking for some velvet for their wardrobe.”

Katharine Rubino: “I think you used to see velvet only in dresses, but now you are seeing it everywhere.”
From a colorful purse to strappy shoes to a sexy jumpsuit — velvet styles go from head to toe..
Katharine Rubino: “Now you will see it more so in sequence grommets, blinged out. You are also going to see it in bright colors, bright pinks, jewel tones.”
This is a trend you can dress up, or dress down.
