Can you smell it? Elephant ears, candy apples and popcorn. The sweet smell must mean one thing– The Miami-Dade County Youth Fair is back. Bring your appetite and come ready for rides.
It’s that time of year… The Miami-Dade County Youth Fair and Exposition is back for its 65th year.
Claudia Hernandez Maltes: "The Miami-Dade County Youth Fair is a tradition in Miami. It’s a place where you can come with your family and friends to enjoy."
Starting tomorrow until April 10th, the fair wants you to be there.
Claudia Hernandez Maltes: "We always have new things at the Miami Youth Fair so people keep coming back. We have new rides, new foods."
This year, the Dade County Youth Fair is bigger and "bacon-ier" than ever.
Claudia Hernandez Maltes: "We have a lot of new things with bacon. We have the bacon wrapped chicken on a stick."
And don’t forget about the ultimate in salty and sweet, bacon funnel on a stick– topped with chocolate, caramel or maple.
Claudia Hernandez Maltes: "The bacon funnel is bacon on a stick. It’s deep fried."
Speaking of sticks– even the meatball sub is served on one.
Claudia Hernandez Maltes: "It’s something creative. You can take your food along the fair and enjoy the fair."
Sure they have fair favs like, funnel cake, cotton candy and popcorn, but this year, even the sweet treats are getting a makeover.
Claudia Hernandez Maltes: "Some of the new food items are the specialty pretzel where you have sweet and salt mixed together with Nutella."
And when it comes to washing it down… bottoms up! You can mozy over to the Western Saloon.
Claudia Hernandez Maltes: "We have some new fun drinks. We have daiquiris and margaritas and we also have some new fun flavors of beer."
From food to rides, the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair is fun for all ages.
