The poisoned apple was the tip of the iceberg. There’s more to know about Snow White’s story. Now, a man who stars in his own fairy tale — Chris Van Vliet — is here with more.

And I hung out with my favorite Chris. Or at least one of my top five Chrises. Chris Hemsworth took a little break from being Thor to return to his role as the Huntsman. Now, this is a little different. This movie is a sequel and a prequel all rolled into one, and I learned there’s a word for that. A made-up word.

“The Huntsman: Winter’s War” takes us back to the world we were introduced to in 2012 with “Snow White and the Huntsman.” Chris Hemsworth is back as the Huntsman, and while Snow White is mentioned, she’s not in this movie.

Instead, the movie focuses on the rivalry between two sisters: the Evil Queen, played by Charlize Theron, and the Ice Queen, Emily Blunt.

The movie starts off as a prequel, but halfway through, it switches to a sequel. Confused? Don’t worry, the director has you covered.

Cedric Nicolas-Troyan: “It fits with the first movie, but it’s also stand-alone, so yeah, but it is a ‘pre-squel.’ ‘Squ-prel.’ ‘Pre-squel.'”

Chris Van Vliet: “This is good!”

Cedric Nicolas-Troyan: “Ha! ‘Pre-squel.'”

We follow Chris Hemsworth and Jessica Chastain’s characters as they grow up and train to be part of Emily Blunt’s army of huntsmen.

Jessica Chastain: “I worked with the stunt crew for three weeks before we started shooting to learn all of the fights in their entirety.”

But sometimes those fights got a little too physical.

Jessica Chastain: “So we’re in the middle of the fight and, all of a sudden, I just went like this and went further back and I felt his nose right there.”

Chris Hemsworth: “Rivers of blood.”

Jessica Chastain: “No, you’re exaggerating!”

For Chris Hemsworth, making the movie was kind of like “Bring Your Kid to Work” Day.

Chris Van Vliet: “Chris, I read that you brought your kids to the set, so was this a sort of fantasy day care for them?”

Chris Hemsworth: “Kinda, yeah. My daughter would go to school the next day and say, ‘My daddy works in a castle! And hangs out with a princess and fights a bad guy.'”

You’d think Chris’ daughter would tell everyone her dad is Thor, but whatever.

Chris Van Vliet: “Charlize’s character obviously can’t live without the mirror, what’s the one thing you guys can’t be without?”

Both: “Love, love.”

Chris Van Vliet: “Aww.”

Chris Hemsworth (to Chris): “And you, of course, and this interview, because you felt left out over there.”

“The Huntsman: Winter’s War” hits theaters Friday, April 22. And Chris may have some bad news: Chris Hemsworth keeps his shirt on the entire time.
