Jet Blue recently launched their flights to Cuba, but you don’t need to fly anywhere just yet. Deco found a boxing themed bar right here — offering the best the island has to offer — including some really tasty mojitos.

Some say Miami is a melting pot of cultures — especially Cuban.

Catalina Monsalve: “Cuba right now is very trendy, everybody talks about Cuba. Cuba is opening their doors to the world.”

So why not experience the best Cuba has to offer … right here in the 305 from Wednesday through Saturday, 5 p.m. to 3 a.m.

The party is muy caliente at Punch in Miami.

Catalina Monsalve: “It’s a Latin place, with a Cuban influence. We combined the decoration, the ambiance with the food and with traditional Cuban drinks.”

Punch embraces the Cuba of the ’30s and ’40s and gives a nod to the island’s famous boxer from the era — Kid Chocolate.

They’re also passionate about their drinks…

Catalina Monsalve: “All kinds of flavored mojitos, we have an amazing happy hour. We do $3 mojitos, everyday. From 5 to 8, we have $1 draft beer and $2 Cuba Libre, we call it the 1-2-3.”

Drinks are half price off from 8 until 10 p.m. — that puts the Cuba Libre (or rum and Coke) at $5. Not bad!

Fernando Carvalho: “$1 drafts, can’t beat it.”

If you’re in good company or just really thirsty — order a mojito punch bowl.

Paola Velasco: “I love the colors, I love how it shows the Cuban culture. I love the drinks, it’s really cool.”

And what’s a Cuban spot without some Cuban food?

Catalina Monsalve: “It’s Cuban tapas, chicharrón, papa rellena, stuffed potatoes, Cuban sliders. You can choose if you want ropa vieja, vaca frita, picadillo, those are the traditional names that you hear in the Cuban cuisine.”

Jorge Luis Acosta: “They got four different types. I got all four different types. They got picadillo, lechon, and I don’t remember the other two, but they’re amazing.”

As for the music…

Catalina Monsalve: “It’s Latin music, but we play a lot of salsa, a lot of son Cubano. We have live music on Thursdays and we try to bring all the Cuban sounds and flavors.”

Justin Pinn: “The music, the people, the drinks, I mean, it’s the right ambiance, it’s Miami, it’s alive. It’s Latin America coming to Miami. It’s beautiful.”
