Having cocktails on the beach is so relaxing, but drinking on Miami Beach isn’t even allowed! So, Deco found a beachy spot smack dab in the city where you can sink your toes in the sand and kick-back cocktails  — it’s called The Anderson.

This beachy, little bar isn’t near the beach. The Anderson is tucked away in Miami on 79th Street.

Gabe Orta: "The Anderson came about because this location used to be a legendary bar in Miami. It used to be called Magnum Piano Bar."

It still has that piano-bar feel inside. Funky lighting, red leather booths and leopard print walls.

Gabe Orta: "It’s almost like a pickup bar that you can see everybody. ‘I’m gonna send shots to that person’ — that kind of vibe."

Outside, though, The Anderson is an urban oasis!

Gabe Orta: "You know we’re like in the middle of Miami and this neighborhood. So that’s why we brought the sand and we wanted to have the island vibe here in the middle of Miami."

It’s a chill place where you can kick-off your shoes and kick-back a brewski, or a Caribbean cocktail. The menu’s by famed Vagabond chef Alex Chang.

Check out the huge burger with aged Comte caramelized onion and horseradish crème fraiche. And the shaved beef rice bowl with sunny side egg and togarashi.

Step inside to sample one of their indoor drinks. This one’s the Mr. Anderson.

Joshua Alperstein, Mix Master: "It’s our twist on a Manhattan. Cynar 70 vermouth from Italy. This is Punt e Mes which is another vermouth from Italy that has cardamon infused into it. It has some chocolate notes to it. Wild turkey 101 rye. And then vida mescal."

Topped with chocolate bitters and served over a block of ice with shaved orange and a cherry — there you have it.

Joshua Alperstein, Mix Master: "Mr. Anderson! Delicious, smokey, boozy cocktail."

Cheers to good booze — inside or outside.
