They say the eighth time is the charm. Actually, nobody says that. But when it comes to the “Fast and Furious” series, eight is definitely great. The latest installment to the action series truly puts the pedal to the medal.

It was faster and more furious in New York City last night.

Michelle Rodriguez (as Letty ‘Ortiz’ Toretto): “You were only supposed to create a diversion Roman.”

Tyrese Gibson (as Roman Pierce): “What you want from me? I’m Roman Pierce man.”

The cast of “The Fate of the Furious” took over Time Square – for the debut of the trailer to the latest in the Fast and Furious franchise.

Charlize Theron (as Cipher): “Your family is about go up against the only thing they can’t handle — you.”

In the eighth installment of the “Fast” flicks — the team has to fight one of their own. Dom, played by Vin Diesel, goes rogue and turns on his team, including his pal Hobbs, played by Deco fav — Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson: “What we are presenting in those movie is a lot of things, a lot of occurrences that will happen, that will make people uneasy, and making people unease. And making people uneasy is a good thing when it comes to Fast 8.”

As Letty, Michelle Rodriguez is back in the fast lane.

Michelle Rodriguez: “If there is anything I can say about this film, it tests love. And anyone who has ever loved someone can watch this movie and get where I am coming from.”

This time around — the team goes to places they’ve never gone before, like Cuba and Iceland.

For Ludacris and Tyrese Gibson — it was a chance to thank their fans all over the world.

Ludacris: “Bringing the attention to these cities, I’m sure we brought tourism to an all-time high. They were already great cities, but I love how we can find great cities and bring attention to them.”

The cast of “The Fate of the Furious” is one big family…. And they say that feeling extends to their fans, too.

Tyrese Gibson: “We don’t really know how far this is gonna go, but we are gonna work that much harder for the fans and the supporters of this franchise around the world, to know we put our heart and soul into the page and we did it for you.”

Vin Diesel: “We work so, so, so hard to make these movies. We put our lives on the line. We put so much into it.”

Buckle up… “The Fate of the Furious” is racing to theaters next April.
