WSVN — Everybody needs a good side dish to go with favorite meals, and we have one that’s easy and delicious! Brussels sprouts are on the menu – as we grab a Bite with Belkys.

The Chef: Belkys Nerey
The Dish: Spicy Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds brussels sprouts
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
1/4 cup honey
2 Tbs. Sriracha (or more to taste)
Kosher salt and pepper to taste

Method of Preparation:
– Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Trim the base of the sprouts and discard. Cut the remaining sprouts in half.

– In a large bowl, whisk olive oil with vinegar, honey and Sriracha. Add the brussels sprouts and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

– Spread the brussels sprouts on a baking sheet with the cut sides facing down. Pour extra olive oil mixture on the pan and tilt the pan to make sure it distributes evenly.

– Roast 20 to 30 minutes, until the sprouts are crispy on the outside and golden and caramelized on the cut sides.

To Plate:
Serve as a side dish or a delicious snack!
