The bad guys are the good guys and Kevin Spacey is on the prowl. And they’re both in this week’s “Showtime.”
Viola Davis (as Amanda Waller): “I want to assemble a task force of the most dangerous people on the planet. Worst of the worst.”
Yeah, pretty much what Viola Davis said there. The “Suicide Squad” is put together by the government for bad guys to take on people even worse than them. It stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney and Jared Leto, who didn’t just play The Joker, he became The Joker, on and off camera.
Chris Van Vliet: “So when you’re work shopping all of these ideas and throwing it all out there, how do you know when you’re done?”
Jared Leto: “I don’t think you’re ever finished. I think that The Joker is always evolving, not just with me but whoever will play the role next.”
Jared Leto (as The Joker): “I can’t wait to show you my toys.”
These are bad guy, but they’re not evil guys. And Will Smith tells me there’s a big difference.
Will Smith: “This is a movie of bad versus evil and the distinction was a bad guy is redeemable.”
Malina Weissman as Rebecca Brand: “I want a cat.”
In “Nine Lives,” a girl wants a cat and her dad to pay attention to her. And she’s going to get her wish.
Kevin Spacey (as Mr. Fuzzypants): “I’m a cat.”
Thanks to a freaky-Friday like spell from a shop owner played by Christopher Walken.
Christopher Walked (as Felix Perkins): “You have one week to reconnect with them or you’re going to be stuck inside that cat.”
Kevin Spacey plays cat-dad, and Jennifer Garner plays a pun-loving mom.
Jennifer Garner (as Lara Brand): “Do they make MRIs for cats?”
David Brand: “You mean catscans?”
