Most working people get an hour for lunch. With traffic, parking and slow service, there’s no choice but to hit a fast food spot. There’s simply no time for anything elaborate. Thankfully, a hotel in Brickell came up with a solution: a posh lunch in 45 minutes, or it’s free.

A one-hour lunch break during the week calls for a quick bite. But what if you want something fancy and decadent?

Nadim Barrage, Atrio Restaurant and Wine Room: "We do have an express lunch that we call Taste of Time."

Atrio Restaurant and Wine Room at the Conrad Hotel in Brickell is offering a fast yet sophisticated lunch.

Nadim Barrage: "Taste of Time is a combination of the creativity and diversity of our culinary team, placed into a three-course meal and with a lot of flavors, but most importantly for our guests is really the time, so it’s guaranteed 45 minutes."

They’ll take your order and place a sand glass on your table to make sure they get you in and out in 45 minutes flat.

Nadim Barrage: "It’s a prix-fixe menu. You have the choice of two appetizers, two main courses and one dessert for $23, which is extremely, extremely good."

The menu changes every three weeks.

Starting today, for your first course, choose from a carrot almond soup or a potato rosti with a crispy pork belly and a fried egg on top.

Nadim Barrage: "For the main course, we have the option of the bacalao…"

That’s the salted cod, or…

Nadim Barrage: "A lamb meat loaf, toasted pita bread, mint cucumber yogurt on the side, absolutely divine."

End your experience on a sweet note.

Nadim Barrage: "Vanilla ice cream profiterole with a chocolate sauce."

And don’t forget to take on the view before heading back to work. As for the parking?

Nadim Barrage: "Valet is actually inclusive whenever you have lunch in the restaurant."

Sounds like the perfect mid-week treat.
