Don’t know about you but I love a new yummy spot in the neighborhood. If your hood happens to be Miami’s Upper East Side you can thank me for this later. Pinch is now open in the former Biscayne Diner space on 86th street and Biscayne Boulevard. Pinch partners, John Gallo and Rene Reyes, describe the restaurant as a "new, freestyle American eatery". I would just call it a homey, tasty new place to eat!

On a recent Saturday my guy and I popped in for brunch and loved it. We wet our appetite with the salmon croquette special served with a tarragon aioli. I followed that up with the Egg in a Basket ($9) breakfast item. Imagine a bowl made from baked potato chips then imagine a perfectly poached egg inside topped with a wonderful perfectly salted potato foam. My bf ordered the poached eggs ($17), his fave, served with pork and red pepper sauce for dipping. Both items were bonkers delicioso. Best part brunch is served til 3pm Saturday and 4pm Sunday for us sleepy heads. Pinch is open for lunch and dinner. I drove by on a recent Friday night and from Biscayne Boulevard I could see the place was packed and people were waiting outside for a table. Always a good sign.
