This coming weekend, we get a little magic at the movies. The cast of “Now You See Me” is back for a sequel, the aptly titled “Now You See Me 2″. Deco’s Chris Van Vliet flew to New York City to sit down with the stars … and little did he know that he would experience some real-life magic.

At the end of the first movie, the four horsemen disappeared from their stage show, outwitting the FBI. Now they’ve come out of hiding with even bigger illusions, a new nemesis in Daniel Radcliffe and Lizzy Caplan as their new member.

Chris Van Vliet: Does knowing how it’s done completely ruin magic now?

Lizzy Caplan: Interesting. We were just discussing this. We would argue that it makes it even more impressive, because you see the skill required to pull off even the most basic magic trick.”

Even something as simple as throwing cards, which Dave Franco became an expert at.

Chris Van Vliet: “I know that you studied the card throwing. Everyone knows you can now split a banana in half.”

Dave Franco: Sure.”

Lizzy: “What?”

Dave: “Come on!”

Chris Van Vliet: “This is a real thing. Can you teach me a little technique here?”

And then, we got some real-life magic, when Woody Harrelson magically appeared and crashed my interview!

Dave Franco: “Yeah! Oh my gosh!” (Woody gives Dave a hug)

Chris Van Vliet: “Would you like to take a seat?”

Dave Franco: “Woody, get in there.”

Woody Harrelson: “Let me ask you guys a couple of questions.”

Dave: “What you got for us, bud?”

(Woody shows a deck of cards.)

Dave: No, you’re the thrower, I’m the catcher.”

(Woody throws cards at Dave.)

In the first movie, the Horsemen frame Morgan Freeman’s character, and now he is out for revenge.

And we learn here that sometimes a magician will reveal their secrets.

Mark Ruffalo: “You know, the thing about magicians is they will tell you how they do their trick, but then they have 10 other ways to do the same trick. How do you know we were telling the truth, then?'”

Chris Van Vliet: “You’re blowing my mind right now, Mark.”

Mark Ruffalo: “See, man? That’s what I’m saying.”

Woody Harrelson: “It fills you with wonder. It just fills you with the light of wonder.”

Mark Ruffalo: “It just keeps opening up.”

They take the magic in this movie very seriously. They actually hired illusionist David Copperfield as an adviser and producer.
