WEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - It’s time for fun at the fair!

The gates opened Thursday at the 68th annual Miami-Dade County Youth Fair and Exposition.

Kids of all ages can enjoy rides, live music, shows and so much more at Tamiami Park, along Coral Way and Southwest 107th Avenue.

“This youth fair also provides scholarships to needy children,” Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez said. “Outside of that, it’s also a great place to have a lot of fun.”

In 2018, the fair gave away $600,000 in scholarships.

Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition President Eddie Cora said, “We are a community organization trying to give back to promote agriculture and promote education. We have almost 100 rides out here for all ages, from Kiddy Land, Kiddy Land 2 up to the big rides that I’m not going to ride anymore, but the kids have a blast on them.”

The fair is scheduled to run through April 7.
