"The woman that inspired it all." That’s the quote on the first page of the menu at Marion. That’s the name of the ex-girlfriend of one of the partners at the restaurant. That ex-girlfriend happens to be the sister of the other restaurant partner. Lucky for us the couple broke up, but the restaurant partners did not, so now we can all enjoy this Mediterranean inspired restaurant and bakery in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood.

Everything we had we loved. The tuna belly ribbons ($16) with red onion and tomatoes super fresh, piquillo peppers ($12) stuffed with mahon cheese — absolutely amazing, watermelon gazpacho ($14) gets a unique touch with shaved watermelon rind and the twenty-five tomatoes salad ($16) has got to be one of the best tomato dishes ever! A wagyu steak ($29) and garganelli pasta ($21) completed the meal set in a Frenchy vibed space that’s elegant without being pretentious.

Marion is being billed as a European inspired restaurant, grand cafe, market, bakery and oyster bar. You can stay and have a full meal or grab something and go. Sorry you had to go Miss Marion but thanks for inspiring this new little culinary gem.
