If a pop-up is back for a second year, it only means one thing — it’s a success. This particular pop up features flamenco, Spanish tapas and good wine. No wonder it’s doing so well.

We call it the Market of San Miguel. And this year — it’s huge!

From Spain to the Magic City, La Feria del Mercado de San Miguel is back in Bayfront Park for its second year.

Giorgio Laperchia: “We have all the Spanish cuisine available, we have paella, we have fish, we have carnes.”

This market was inspired by the legendary San Miguel Market in Madrid.

Giorgio Laperchia: “The market has been created in 1916 in Madrid. It’s been around for 100 years, and we try to deliver the same expectation and the same experience here in Miami.”

This year, the huge tent has been completely redesigned, and there’s new entertainment too.

Giorgio Laperchia: “We have the entertainers, the actors — they are basically a part of the experience.”

They will talk food, sing and dance flamenco every hour.

And speaking of food — don’t forget to try some pinchos. (That’s what the Spaniards call small snacks.)

Giorgio Laperchia: “Pinchos and charcuterie, so all the cheeses are from Spain, all the ingredients are from Spain.”

Ibérico ham, freshly grilled meats and cheeses like the Spanish manchego — perfect with some vino.

Giorgio Laperchia: “We tried to collect as many regions as we can in our wine list.”

When in doubt — go for some sangria, or…

Giorgio Laperchia: “We have a Tinto de Verano, which is basically a sangria. It’s a sparkling sangria, which is Sprite with wine, a typical drink in Spain.”

Guest: “We’re having some delicious cheeses, delicious meats. It’s just plain and simply delicious.”

The market, open Thursday through Sunday, may become permanent in the future. Until then — you can find it at Bayfront Park until January.
