“So You Think You Can Dance” has been around a long time — the 250th episode is Monday, and overseeing the milestone moment is South Florida’s own Jason Derulo. Now, a dancer so in touch with his feminine side, he let’s Chris Van Vliet lead.

It’s hard to believe “So You Think You Can Dance” has been around since 2005. They’ve had 249 episodes before this, but Jason Derulo tells us why Monday’s show is so important.

“So You Think You Can Dance” turns 250 tonight — 250 episodes that is.

Jason Derulo: “It’s a humongous show man, because I think this 250 kind of brings the show into a legendary status.”

And they’ve got some special plans for the milestone episode.

Jason Derulo: “The kids are choreographing their own routine with their all star, and they’re also doing their own costumes and makeup, so it should be a very very interesting show.”

Now when Jason’s not sitting at the judge’s table, he’s been in the studio coming up with new hits like “Kiss The Sky.” The song is featured on the soundtrack for the new animated movie “Storks”.

Jason Derulo: “The song is like this super uplifting, up-tempo that just gets you moving every single time.”

And you may remember last summer, I toured Jason Derulo’s house in Coconut Creek. His seven bedroom, nine bathroom, $2.9 million house. Yeah, the one where I did this…

Chris Van Vliet: “I gotta see what it feels like to lay on a bedroom set worth $85,000.”

And I also danced in his dance studio, worked out in his gym and ate food from his fridge.

Chris Van Vliet: “I don’t think he’ll mind, right? He won’t mind.”

Well that house is still for sale, but that doesn’t mean it’s sitting empty.

Jason Derulo: “I’m actually renting it out for like photo shoots and things like that, so I’m simultaneously trying to sell it as well.”

Jason is spending most of his time in Los Angeles these days, but South Florida will always be home.

Jason Derulo: “The whole fam is down there, so I try to get down there as often as possible, but right now there’s just so much going on career-wise.”

Keep it locked for “So You Think You Can Dance,” coming up right after Deco in about ten minutes here on 7.
