This weekend, Dakota Johnson and Leslie Mann, Deco’s Chris Van Vliet’s good friends, star in the comedy "How to be Single." When they weren’t trying to get him to take his shirt off, they did actually talk about the movie.

After breaking up with her longtime college boyfriend, Dakota Johnson, who you’ll know from "Fifty Shades of Grey," is dealing with being single for the first time in her adult life. Her new BFF, played by Rebel Wilson, is helping her wade through the dating pool and the rules that go along with it.

Rebel Wilson (as Robin): "If Tom texts you, wait four hours to respond, and if you use an emoji, I will punch you "

Chris Van Vliet: "What’s wrong with emojis?"

Rebel Wilson: "Umm (laughs), some people do overuse emojis, but do you know what is really good? Say somebody texts you something and you’re not really sure how to answer. Like you don’t want to answer yes or no, but you want to answer so as not to be rude. I just send the koala emoji and people are like, ‘What the hell does that mean?’" (laughs)

The movie follows a bunch of different singles navigating the dating world, and showing us the good, the bad and everything in between.

Chris Van Vliet: "I want to know, is it different being single for a guy versus being single for a girl? Is it viewed differently?"

Anders Holm: "Yeah, 100 percent."

Allison Brie: "I think it can be. It definitely depends on the kind of guy and the kind of girl. There are a lot of women like my character, Lucy, who are looking for a husband and that’s their main goal. So, being single is not as fun. I bet guys have to deal with a lot of crazy girls."

Anders Holm: "Yeah. I didn’t say it." (laughs)

How to not be single? You gotta break the ice, so I thought I’d take some pickup lines for a test drive. Although if you actually want this to work, try using some that aren’t so incredibly cheesy. Unlike these.

Chris Van Vliet: "Are you Google, because you’re exactly what I’ve been searching for."

Leslie Mann: "That’s terrible."

Dakota Johnson: "Don’t ever say that."

Chris Van Vliet: "If I had one more button undone, would it be better?"

Both: "No!"

Chris Van Vliet: "I don’t have a library card, but can I check you out?"

Leslie Mann: "That was good. That one might work."

"How to Be Single" opens in theaters Friday, Feb. 12.
