Staying healthy over the weekend — especially a holiday weekend — is darn near impossible. Especially if you want to have a drink — or twenty. So Deco found a place that gives you a serving of fresh veggies in your cocktail.

Now you can be healthy, and have a buzz at the same time. Fresh, cold-pressed, refreshing juice with some booze!

Nestor Marchand, Icebox Cafe: “We do a ‘Farm to Glass’ program, in which we seek the same quality ingredients we use for food, and we put it in our drinks.”

Icebox Cafe in Miami Beach is in love with everything natural, and their cocktails are no exception.

Nestor Marchand: “That’s been our culture for almost 20 years. The company was founded 20 years ago by Robert Siegmann, and he was farm-to-table before farm-to-table was cool.”

So, for lovers of all things carrot…

Nestor Marchand: “I think the Carrot Snap is excellent. It really is an after-dinner drink, and we use cold pressed carrot juice with Frangelico, Baileys Irish Cream and a touch of cinnamon. It’s absolutely fantastic.”

Customer 1: “Very good!”

Here’s a drink you can’t beet.

Nestor Marchand: “We also have the Boozy Beet, which is fresh cold pressed beet juice with St. Germain liquor and prosecco.”

It’s a fun bubbly that gives your immune system a real boost.

Customer 2: “Mmm, is that good?

Customer 3: “It’s so good.”

For brunch, or any other day, get a freshly made Bloody Mary.

Nestor Marchand: “We make our Bloody Mary mix from natural fresh tomatoes, a few secret ingredients and, of course, vodka. It is spicy; you can make it more spicy, if you wish.”

Finally, there’s nothing better than a refreshing drink when you live in the 305.

Nestor Marchand: “We also have our Cucumber Mint Cooler, made out of fresh, locally sourced cucumbers, fresh mint, syrup, gin, club soda and lime juice. On a hot day outside, it’s the best drink.”

Because we’re already in the 90s, and its only July!

Customer 2: “You gotta try this.

Customer 4: “I will.”

No more excuses needed.
