LOS ANGELES (WSVN) – Plus-size supermodel Ashley Graham has changed the stereotype of what makes a “real model,” and Barbie dolls are jumping on board.

Mattel toy company presented Graham with her own Barbie doll, which was inspired by the model herself. She was presented with the doll at Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards, Monday.

The 29-year-old had a hand in the making of her doll, and she made sure certain features of herself were incorporated. One of her biggest concerns was making sure that the dolls’ thighs touched for authenticity.

The gift came after the company debuted three new body types, hair and skin tones for Barbie in January.

Graham, known for flaunting her curvy figure, said she would have benefited from the new style of dolls as a young girl growing up.
