The worst part about taking a walking tour of a city is all that walking! We’ve found a way that gives you all the touring … with none of the walking. Chris hopped on an eTrike Tour to see Fort Lauderdale like never before.

It’s the most fun you can have on three wheels! But what exactly are these things?

Simon Fernandez: “They kind of look like a souped up version of what you’d find in the supermarket that the old people get around, just a little bit more comfortable and a little quicker.”

Chris Van Vliet: “Yeah, we look a lot cooler when we ride one of these!”

Hop on an eTrike. They’re three-wheeled electric-powered scooters that you can sit or stand on.

Chris Van Vliet: “What’s the reaction that people have when they see you zooming around on these?”

Simon Fernandez: “People zoom by and they do like a quick double take, ’cause it kind of looks similar to a Segway, but they look back and they’re like, ‘Wait, that’s not a Segway.'”

CP Tours, the same guys who brought you the Cycle Party, are using the eTrikes as a fun and certainly different way to give guided tours of Fort Lauderdale.

Simon Fernandez: “Our popular tour is our classic tour. It’s like a sightseeing tour through Fort Lauderdale, go through some of the historic parts, give a little history on the city.”

The two-hour classic tour will cost you $49 per person, but if you’re a fan of both fun and food, you may want to opt for the foodie tour, which stops off for a bite at some of Fort Lauderdale’s best restaurants. That tour will run you $89.

Both tours begin and end along the beautiful Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk and can take up to 15 people at a time. And come on — when are you ever going to get a chance to see Las Olas like this?
