The best things in life are free, or at least seriously discounted. On tonight’s “Cheap Thrills,” a good time is a “shore” thing.
Food trucks, live music and street performances — organized just for you.
Karla Arguello: “It’s for people who live in the community and people from the neighborhood to come out and enjoy some food and enjoy live music.”
Every fourth Wednesday of the month from 5 to 10 p.m…
Karla Arguello: “A monthly food truck and music night here at the North Beach Bandshell and North Shore Park.”
There’s tons of food trucks to chose from.
Karla Arguello: “You get everything. You can get Mexican — empanadas. Everybody’s favorite seems to be the Lobstah Mobstah.”
Daniel Cetina: “I live really close here, so that’s why I always try to come here and always have the lobster roll.”
Josh Leaming: “Black rice, black beans, poblano sauce, cilantro sour cream, fresh pickled jalapeños … really good stuff.”
Customer: “It’s a very tasty cheeseburger.”
The vibe is relaxed, the ocean is near, and the smell from the trucks is delish.
Josh Leaming: “You’re at the beach, the wind, you got good music, the vibe is really cool down down here, it’s always fun.”
There’s free yoga nearby, provided by Green Monkey Yoga, and a different live band each month.
Karla Arguello: ‘Usually, the bands come on stage between 7,7:30 until 9,9:30.”
So — eat, drink and party it up on hump day.
