HOLLYWOOD, FLA. (WSVN) - Federal authorities have released new pictures of a group of alleged subjects who, they said, may have been involved in the shooting of rapper Offset outside Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Pictures released Tuesday morning by the FBI show several men in the valet area of the casino believed to be part of the group involved in the April 6 shooting.
They also released surveillance images of two Chevy SUVs — a matte gray Tahoe and a black Suburban — believed to have been used as getaway vehicles.
Investigators said someone from this group pulled out a gun and fired a single shot that hit the 34-year-old rapper in the leg, sending him to Memorial Regional Hospital.
Photos obtained by TMZ shows the Grammy-nominated artist getting into an ambulance following the shooting.
After the shots were fired, authorities said, the same group of men attempted to remove a watch from Offset’s wrist but were unable to do so.
Federal officials said the subjects then fled the scene in the two SUVs, the Suburban heading toward the City of Hollywood and the Tahoe heading south to Mami-Dade County.
Since the Hard Rock is owned by the Seminoles, any crimes committed on tribal land are subject to federal investigation, and that’s why the FBI stepped in.
Authorities ended up arresting rapper Lil Tjay and charging him with disorderly conduct.
Lil Tjay has not been charged with the shooting, but according to officers, he “…directed members of his party to start a fight,” and “…one of the males associated with the defendant pulled a firearm and discharged it, wounding one of the individuals.”
Lil Tjay has since bonded out of jail.
“Fight who?” he told a reporter as he walked out of the Broward County Jail.
As of Wednesday, no one has been arrested or charged with pulling the trigger.
Following his release from the hospital, Offset posted a note on social media that read in part: “Thank you to everyone who’s checked in on me and showed me love! I’m good…but I’m planning to be better.”
Offset was seen on social media video performing at a concert at the University of Arkansas over the weekend. He was seen getting up from a wheelchair and beginning his concert as the crowd cheered.
As officials continue to piece together what went down that night, they urge anyone with information that could help with their ongoing investigation to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or go to tips.fbi.gov.
