D-Wade isn’t just the Miami Heat’s star player. He’s a man with a fine taste for fashion, food and fun … and as the brand ambassador for “THE COLLECTION,” he gets to roll around in some mighty fine wheels. D-Wade and wife Gabrielle Union helped launch two new Jaguars last night and, of course, Deco was along for the ride.
Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade and his beautiful wife Gabrielle Union got the party poppin’ at THE COLLECTION in Coral Gables where the superstar couple checked out the first Jaguar SUV, the F-PACE.
Dwyane Wade: “It’s one of those cars that when it’s a family that you have kids, you wanna safe, you wanna be comfortable and the Jaguar is one of those lines. So I’m excited to get behind the wheel of the F-PACE and see how it works on the road.”
Gabrielle was lovin’ on the new Jaguar XE too.
Gabrielle Union: “It’s sexy, it’s sexy. You gotta come with it in Miami. If you don’t have a sexy car, I mean … so, that car kinda does it for us.”
Across the pond, actor Idris Elba agreed — taking one out for a sexy spin from London to Berlin…
And he tested it on a slick racetrack too.
Performance and safety are important to D-Wade too.
Dwyane Wade: “I’m excited about the whole line and at one point, I’ll have them all at my house hopefully.”
Deco wondered though — who’s the best driver in the Wade family…
Dwyane Wade: “Oh no no, I’m hand’s down the best driver. Or she just acts like she don’t like driving.”
Gabrielle Union: “He’s the best driver in the family (laughs). I don’t have the best eyesight and it apparently affects how good of a driver I am.”
But he admits, she’s the best back-seat driver!
Dwyane Wade: “If you stop too close to the car, she’s always in the back, ready to say something. But yeah, she’s a backseat driver.”
Gabrielle Union: “Yes, I’m very cautious. I’m like the driver that is always the defensive driver, always looking out for other people’s mistakes. He is more of the offensive driver.”
Makes sense — he’s one of the best drivers in the NBA!
But both D-Wade and Gabrielle are Deco drivers!
Dwyane Wade: “We’re both Deco. I like that, I like that. We’re both Deco drivers. Deco Drive is always — thank guys so much for loving us, for following us through this journey of life. I appreciate you guys me and Mrs. Wade.”
