I scream, you scream — we all scream for ice cream. There’s a spot in SoFlo where a sweet treat is both hot and cool all at the same time.
Things in South Florida just got cooler. That’s because CREAM, a California ice cream staple, now has a home in Aventura.
Armando Martinez: “CREAM is the combo of an ice cream parlor and bakery, and it’s perfect for a hot South Florida day.”
There are over 20 flavors of ice cream that can get sandwiched by over a dozen cookie flavors — including some gluten free and vegan choices.
Armando Martinez: “You get to pick any two combos of cookie. A cookie on top and cookie on bottom and any choice of ice cream in the middle.”
And to top it off, there are toppings like cereal, gummy bears and nutella
Armando Martinez: “The toppings we try to make sure wrap the sandwhich and not just sprinkled on top.”
Go nuts with peanut butter ice cream with peanut butter cookies topped with nuts. Or take a bite out of cookies and cream with oreos.
Jamie Levy: “I think cream is a very unique place and I haven’t seen anything like it and I think the food is very delicious.”
One of the things that makes cream special is that the cookies are baked throughout the day — and are always fresh out of the oven.
Hot cookies and cold ice cream usually mean a soupy mess. Not here.
Armando Martinez: “We make our ice cream extremely hard, and it’s going to be rock hard as soon as we serve it. When you have the warm cookie, as soon as you put it on sandwhich, it sort of wraps the ice cream and it sort of hugs the ice cream.”
From green tea to chocolholic to dairy free–the extra frozen ice cream is perfect for a warm ice cream sandwich.
Armando Martinez: “Even though we say it’s rock hard, it’s not icy at all and but creamy and delicious.”
If cookies aren’t your thing. Get a brownie sandwich or shake things up with an ice cream taco.

If you need to get it to go–you’re in luck. There are some premade and packed frozen. But we challenge you not to eat them all on the way home. The brain freeze you get at Cream is so worth it!
